I have posted in such a long time! I've been posting pictures on Facebook, but I'm thinking that I will return to blogging on our family blog instead. There seems to be quite a bit of hacking going on these days.
Elias and Ella are growing so much. Elias will be 18 months in two days. We are about to celebrate his "Gotch Day". Can you believe that??? It's almost been a year since I met him for the very first time. So much has happened in this year that's it's hard to keep up with every little detail.
I can't imagine our lives without this little man. It's so hard to imagine sometimes that he wasn't here all along; he fits in with us SO perfectly. He and Ella are incredibly close, and it warms our hearts to watch them play (and sometimes fight) together. Ella has been so kind and so gentle and has welcomed Elias with open arms.
Elias is talking quite a bit and enjoys having all of our attention. He gets so excited to tell us something that he often meshes "mama and daddy" together, and something like "mada" comes out. He loves to show us the birds, bunnies and other creatures that live behind our house. He is learning to jump, so he wants us to watch each time he tries. Of course we have to clap and say yay, but we don't mind :-) He is incredibly curious and wants to touch, feel and see everything. We pretty much have to follow him around, or there's no telling what he'd get into. The other night, while cooking dinner, he and Ella were playing in the den. I overheard Ella say, "AWW...you are going to have a consequence!" Hysterical! He loves to dance, and he loves cars and balls. Oh, and he LOVES to eat. That little turkey is above the 95% for height and weight
He loves the dog's water, the toilet water, the sink water, the fish water....really ANY water. Sometimes I wonder what would be revealed if we pumped his stomach...geez! He keeps us laughing most of the time.
Elias is also very loving. He enjoys being held and cuddled and gives hugs and kisses freely. He is a precious child who has touched our lives in an incredible way. Both he and Ella are precious gifts. Brian and I thank God for them every day.
